Dalton Regenbogen brings a lifetime connection to the sport and nearly a decade of club coaching experience to Northern Virginia Aquatic Club. As a competitive swimmer himself, and the son of a lifelong figure in aquatics who now serves as a senior advisor to the club, Dalton's roots in swimming run deep — shaping not only how he understands the sport, but how he understands the people who dedicated their lives to it.
Known for his empathetic approach and genuine investment in the athletes and families he works with, Dalton has built a reputation for developing the whole person, not just the swimmer. His coaching philosophy is centered on the belief that lasting athletic growth and lasting personal growth are inseparable — and that the relationships built in the water are as important as the results achieved in it.
Over his coaching career, Dalton has guided swimmers to successful high school careers and meaningful collegiate opportunities, developing athletes to achieve placement into the highest levels of USA Swimming club training programs. As Head Coach of a local summer league program for more than nine seasons, he has grown the team over 300 athletes, cultivating a unified team culture that extended well beyond the pool deck. He has also served as Head Coach for a local high school program, helping carry forward its tradition of excellence and continuing to build on the success established before him.
As WARF Site Lead Coach and a founding partner of NVAC, Dalton brings that same commitment to community and individual development to every lane he oversees. He is passionate about creating an environment where swimmers feel supported, challenged, and seen — and where families trust that their athlete is in the hands of someone who genuinely cares about who they are becoming.
